Hilton has signed an agreement to open three hotels in Muscat, Oman, in January 2026, including the country’s first Waldorf Astoria.
Hilton has announced a new agreement with The Zubair Corporation to open three hotels in Muscat, Oman, by January 2026. The development will include properties under the Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, and DoubleTree by Hilton brands, effectively doubling Hilton’s presence in the country.
The three hotels will be situated in Barr Al Jissah, a waterfront area on Muscat’s coastline. This location is approximately 40 minutes from Muscat International Airport. The development marks the introduction of the Waldorf Astoria brand in Oman.
The Al Husn Hotel Muscat will undergo extensive renovations before reopening as a Waldorf Astoria hotel. This hotel will feature 180 guest rooms and suites, five dining venues, a spa, and access to a private beach cove.
The Hilton Muscat Al Bandar will open as part of Hilton’s flagship brand. It will offer 198 guest rooms and suites, six dining venues, and various meeting and event facilities, including a grand ballroom and boardrooms. The hotel will also feature a dedicated spa.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Al Waha will be the second DoubleTree property in Muscat. It will provide 302 guest rooms and suites and four dining venues.
Collectively, the three hotels will offer 15 dining venues with diverse cuisines and shared recreational facilities. These include 600 meters of private beach, a lazy river, swimming pools, tennis courts, a kids’ club, a health club, mini-golf, and various water sports activities.
Hilton currently operates three hotels in Oman: Hilton Garden Inn Muscat Al Khuwair, Hilton Salalah, and DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Qurum.
