Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened the Elysium Spa & Wellness House at Hotel La Compañía del Valle, a 72-room property within The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, located in Panama’s El Valle de Antón. The spa spans 22,000 square feet and is designed to offer a range of wellness services inspired by the region’s natural landscape.
The spa’s design incorporates elements such as arched stone passageways and local volcanic stone, aiming to reflect the surrounding highlands and volcanic terrain of Panama. The facility features thermal pools, steam rooms, and treatment chambers, with designated areas for therapies such as wine and cacao treatments.
Guests have access to various spa treatments that utilize natural ingredients, including a Wine Therapy treatment and a Lavender Ritual. The spa also offers a range of massages, including Swedish and deep tissue options, as well as specialized prenatal and sports massages. Additional amenities include a Himalayan salt room, an aromatherapy steam room, a mud therapy room, a jacuzzi, and a sensory deprivation pool.
Hotel La Compañía del Valle is situated within an extinct volcano crater, approximately two hours west of Panama City. The hotel features Tuscan-inspired architecture and over 200 original artworks. It is part of an expansion that includes Hotel La Compañía Casco Antiguo in Panama City, housed in a restored 17th-century Jesuit convent.
The Unbound Collection by Hyatt continues to grow in Latin America, with plans to open Casa Duhau in Mendoza, Argentina, in late 2027.
