The Ardencote Hotel in Warwickshire is to auction off its contents as part of preparations for a multi-million-pound redevelopment aimed at transforming its facilities and guest experience.
Dating back to 1862, the four-star Ardencote is a Victorian manor house set in 83 acres of landscaped grounds near Claverdon.
The hotel features 110 bedrooms, three restaurants and bars, conference and banqueting facilities, and a spa and leisure complex.
The sale will be conducted by specialist hospitality auctioneers Pro Auction, acting on behalf of The Hotel Clearance Company.
It follows recent high-profile sales managed by the firm at venues including The Savoy in London, Luton Hoo, and The Castle Hotel Windsor.
Items available include beds, seating, fixtures and fittings from guest rooms and public areas, professional kitchen appliances, refrigeration units, spa and gym equipment, and restaurant and banqueting items.
The public auction, taking place on 11 December 2025 at 10.30am, will be held both at the hotel and online. A public viewing day will also be held on 10 December.
Ardencote’s owners said the refurbishment forms part of “a wider strategy to modernise and expand its four-star offering, ensuring the hotel remains a leading Midlands destination for leisure, spa breaks and events”.
