The Lemon Tree hotel and restaurant in Wrexham has been brought to market for £1.35m.
The Lemon Tree is an 18-bedroom hotel with a 70-cover restaurant. The venue operates from a Grade II listed building dating from the 1860s, converted into a hotel in 1982 and refurbished and renamed in 2010.
The current owner, Sam Regan, has invested in the site during the past decade, including a 2020 expansion that increased the room count to 18.
The business recorded occupancy of more than 91% in 2024. It has held an AA Rosette for its restaurant for six consecutive years and an AA Three Star Gold Award for its accommodation.
Regan, who has owned the hotel since 2014, said: “When I took over The Lemon Tree just over a decade ago, my goal was to establish a truly exceptional, independent hospitality venue at the heart of Wrexham.”
The sale is being managed by James Dodd and Chad Jackson at Christie and Co, who added: “The Lemon Tree represents a rare opportunity to acquire a thriving hospitality business in the heart of the city. The combination of a historic listed building with modern extensions creates a unique offering that appeals to both leisure and business guests. With Wrexham’s ongoing regeneration and growing profile, we expect strong interest from operators looking to capitalise on this exciting market.”
