Maya Hotel Courchevel 1850 has opened ahead of the 2025/2026 ski season, adding to accommodation options in the French Alps as the resort marks its 80th anniversary.
The boutique hotel is the latest property from Maya Collection and is positioned as a small, design-focused addition with direct access to the slopes.
The hotel has been developed around a blend of European craftsmanship and Japanese-inspired minimalism, using natural wood, stone, bronze and metal throughout its interiors.
It offers a range of bespoke rooms and suites, including the Lalique Suite and Lalique Apartment, which feature private treatment rooms and crystal pieces created for the property by Maison Lalique. A chandelier of 60 Lalique crystal anemones is suspended in the lobby.
Wellbeing services form a significant part of the offer through Maya Well x Forlle’d, a programme created with the Japanese beauty firm. Treatments are available in a dedicated wellness area and privately in the top suites.
The opening also brings the first Alpine location for MayaBay, the group’s Thai-Japanese fusion restaurant brand. The menu includes sushi, dim sum, curries and shared plates, alongside dishes such as the Caviar Croustillant, ChooChee Lobster and a black cod dish influenced by traditional gindara kasuzuke.
Maya Collection said the hotel’s size and ability to be booked exclusively were intended to appeal to guests seeking privacy in a high-profile resort.
The launch forms part of the group’s wider expansion, with a hotel in West Palm Beach due to open in 2026 within the Biba Social Club.
