Foxhills invest £1.5m into new Lomri restaurant and Manor Lounge and Bar

Foxhills Club and Resort has announced it will launch its new Manor House dining experience on 2 April following a £1.5m investment, with the launch of restaurant Lomri and the Manor Lounge and Bar.

Named after the hindi word for Fox, the new restaurant concept is based on Britain’s long-standing culinary connection with India and the increasing demand for regional, experience-led dining.

Designed together with Auden Hospitality, Lomri will be headed by chef Achal Aggarwal following her appointment in February last year.

She steps into her new role following a career that spans training in Tokyo and New York, senior roles with The Leela, Hyatt and multiple Oberoi Hotels and a key role in bringing the celebrated Wasabi restaurant to Delhi.

With capacity for 80, Lomri will be made up of a mix of small tables, larger group settings and a semi-private dining area.

Foxhills said the restaurant merges the Manor House’s historic character with a modern feel, featuring warm natural materials, layered textiles and rich earthy tones inspired by the landscapes of India.

Meanwhile, the Manor Lounge and Bar will be reintroduced as a gathering space for “pre-dinner drinks, informal meetings and late-evening conversations and celebrations”.

More than 300 hospitality professionals across the resort will support the opening, including a food and beverage team of 22 within the two venues.

Foxhills said that Lomri and the Manor Lounge and Bar form part of a wider commitment to designing spaces that encourage connection and celebration, blending historic architecture with modern energy, and balancing a tranquil atmosphere with elements of surprise.

Their openings come after a broader multi-million-pound programme of improvements across the resort in the past few years, including bedroom renovations, new padel and pickleball courts and family leisure facility The Pavilion which opened about five years ago.

Mark Thewlis, hotel manager at Foxhills Club and Resort, said: “We are extremely excited to be launching our new dining experience to members, guests and diners looking for that special moment here in the heart of Surrey. Lomri and The Manor Lounge and Bar represent an important step in the continued evolution of our food and beverage offering, and the time that can be enjoyed here at Foxhills.”

Scot Turner, founder and managing director at Auden Hospitality, added: “With Lomri, we wanted to create a dining experience where design plays as important a role as the food itself. The space, the storytelling and the menu are all connected. It’s about creating a sense of place in the heart of Surrey, somewhere guests feel transported, yet completely at ease.”
