BGAM Hotels has been appointed to manage three Marriott-branded UK country club hotels, following their acquisition by Dubai developer Select Group.
The properties are the Tudor Park Country Club in Kent, the St Pierre Country Club in Chepstow, and the Breadsall Priory Country Club in Derbyshire. Altogether the resorts comprise more than 370 rooms alongside golf, leisure, and event facilities.
The deal increases the BGAM Hotels portfolio to 10 hotels across the UK. It is now responsible for managing more than 1,000 rooms and employs approximately 900 staff.
Select Group has delivered more than 10,000 units since 2002. Its UK portfolio also includes The Mere Golf Resort and Spa in Cheshire and Old Thorns Hotel and Resort in Hampshire.
Nicholas Rubin, chief strategy officer at BGAM Hotels, said: “These are well-established hotels with strong fundamentals. Our role is to work closely with ownership to ensure they are managed consistently and with a clear focus on long-term performance.
“We take a selective approach to growth, choosing to work with a limited number of partners where we can stay closely involved and aligned.”
Israr Liaqat, group CEO of Select Group, added: “These assets represent an important part of our growing UK hospitality platform. Our focus is on working with strong operating partners who understand the long-term potential of established resort assets and can help us enhance performance, protect asset value and continue elevating the guest experience over time.
