Hospitality company Accor has partnered with youth charity Inspired By KM, a youth-focused charity founded by footballer Kylian Mbappé, to launch an employment programme named Ibis Unlocked.
The social mobility initiative aims to support young people who are not in education, employment or training by offering training pathways and professional opportunities.
The scheme will launch across Brazil, France, Morocco and Thailand, with initial placement schemes running inside ibis hotels.
Organisers designed the ecosystem to combine human support, practical work experience and 15 digital self-training modules accessed via mobile applications.
The project forms part of a wider corporate sustainability roadmap by Accor, which aims to support 20,000 people furthest from employment by 2030.
The programme will expand its geographical reach after autumn 2026, when both organisations will host an educational networking week in Brazil. The hotel group operates more than 2,500 ibis venues across 82 countries.
Sébastien Bazin, chairman and chief executive of Accor, said: “Behind these young people are stories, doubts, and often a lack of perspectives. With Inspired By KM, we have built a concrete program, rooted in our territories and our professions, to restore confidence and open paths to employment. Hospitality can be a powerful lever for transformation.”
Fayza Lamari, president of Inspired By KM, added: “Talent is everywhere, but it too often needs to be recognized to exist. Our role is to help young people regain self-confidence, change their perception of their abilities, and envision their future. With Accor, we are creating a concrete framework that allows them to progress at their own pace and find their place.”
