Classic British Hotels expands national network with nine-property partnership

Independent hotel consortium Classic British Hotels has secured an alliance with Crest Hotels Group to integrate the group’s nine-property portfolio into its national network.

The agreement places 674 bedrooms across regional UK markets into the Classic British Hotels marketing and distribution network. The integration will use the centralised CBHUB software platform to link the independent regional properties with international global distribution systems under the dedicated CB private chain code.

The regional transition involves historic, coastal and commercial hotels located across England and Wales. The properties include the 51-bedroom Imperial Hotel in Tenby, which recently underwent a ÂŁ3m refurbishment within the ancient stone fortifications of the Welsh town and the Grade I listed Feathers Hotel in Ludlow, which dates back to 1619.

The portfolio also includes the 109-bedroom Metropole Hotel Venue and Spa in Llandrindod Wells, and the 140-bedroom Avisford Park Hotel estate near Arundel in West Sussex, which operates 15 dedicated corporate meeting spaces.

The remaining properties transferring to the alliance include the Tiverton Hotel in Devon, the Park House Hotel in Shropshire, the Knowsley Inn in Liverpool and two Bristol-based properties, including the Almondsbury Inn and the 18th Century Arnos Manor Hotel.

The strategic alliance allows the regional venues to retain their independent management and branding structures while accessing centralised marketing, preferred corporate accounts and national travel agency networks.

Phillip Allsopp, managing director of Classic British Hotels, said: “We are delighted to welcome Crest Hotels Group into the Classic British Hotels collection. Crest Hotels have been on an exciting journey and we’re delighted to be supporting their evolution by extending distribution across our various platforms, including our CB private chain code GDS. This will open Crest Hotels to a wider audience, targeting both the domestic and international traveller through our extensive network of preferred agency and corporate partnerships.”

Jason Hiley, managing director of Crest Hotels Group, added: “Our mission has always been to build a guest-centric portfolio of hotels that exude personality and character. Aligning our entire collection with Classic British Hotels is the perfect next step for our group. It allows us to retain the completely independent identity and unique charm of each property while benefiting from the robust marketing, distribution and sales reach of a highly respected national brand.”

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
