Dumbleton Hall has appointed Marwan Hemchaoui as general manager following a £25m redevelopment and expansion of the Cotswolds country house hotel.
Hemchaoui joins from The Lakes by YOO, where he served as general manager. Prior to this, he held general manager roles across Ellenborough Park Hotel and Spa, The Vineyard and Kew Green Hotels Limited.
Announcing his role in a Linkedin post, Hemchaoui said: “I am delighted to share that I have started my new role as Managing Director at Dumbleton Hall in the beautiful Cotswolds.
This marks an exciting new chapter, and I feel both honoured and humbled to have the opportunity to lead such a special destination, with its rich history, stunning setting, and talented team. I am looking forward to working alongside the team, and bringing exciting new projects to life as we shape the future of Dumbleton Hall.”
The appointment follows the recent renovation of the Cotswolds hotel, which saw a meticulous two-year-long investment of £25m to overhaul the Grade II property under new ownership.
Dumbleton Hall was acquired in April 2021 by US-based property development firm Chatham Park Development from the Post Office Fellowship of Remembrance (POFR). The hotel, which had been operated by the charity since 1959, is now managed by Bespoke Hotels.
Located within a 16-acre estate, the property now includes 34 guestrooms, a drawing room and library bar, alongside three restaurants.
