Sopwell House in Hertfordshire has been awarded AA Five Star status, recognising the hotel’s standards of hospitality, service and facilities.
The Georgian country house hotel, set across 12 acres, received the rating following a series of anonymous overnight inspections by AA assessors.
The assessments covered the hotel’s service, facilities, Cottonmill Spa, food and overall guest experience against the AA’s criteria. Sopwell House said the accreditation reflects continued investment in the property and the work of its team to enhance the guest experience against the AA’s criteria.
The accreditation follows significant investment in the property and efforts by the management team to enhance the guest experience while retaining its independent, family-owned status.
The hotel said the accreditation solidifies Sopwell House’s position as one of the best country house hotels in the UK.
