The Nici to open two new hotels in Newquay and Lymington

The Nici group has confirmed the simultaneous launch of two new coastal properties, transforming former hotel sites in Cornwall and Hampshire into luxury lifestyle retreats.

Following the opening of its flagship Bournemouth site, the group is expanding into Newquay and Lymington.

The Nici Newquay involves the conversion of the former Hotel Victoria into an 82-room clifftop hotel overlooking the Atlantic.

The property will feature a spa with a 20-metre indoor pool, a private cinema, and the restoration of a Victorian bathing lift for beach access.

Its primary dining offer includes Amalfi, an Italian-influenced restaurant, and a clifftop pool club.

The expansion strategy focuses on elevating existing heritage buildings through contemporary interior design and the integration of high-end wellness and social facilities.

Simultaneously, the group will open The Nici New Forest in Lymington, following the transformation of the former Elmers Court Hotel.

Set within 23 acres on the banks of the Lymington River, the 118-bedroom hotel is designed with an aesthetic influenced by East Coast American coastal living.

The site includes a regional wellness center with 10 treatment rooms, hydrotherapy experiences, and a heated outdoor pool.

Dining at the Lymington property will be led by Martha’s, a seafood-focused restaurant, and the Elms Café.

The location is positioned to capture the London weekend market, situated 1 hour 45 minutes from the capital with direct rail links.

Additionally, each hotel will feature fitness studios and immersive thermal suites.

Both properties are scheduled to begin operations in summer 2026, targeting the UK’s luxury staycation sector.

Founder Nicolas Roach said: “Our aim is to create places that feel like an escape without needing to get on a plane. Whether it’s the sailing and estuary life in Lymington or the surf culture and coastline in Newquay, it’s about taking what makes those places special and elevating it into something that feels considered, distinctive, and easy to enjoy.”

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
