The Wainstones Hotel in Broughton, North Yorkshire, has reopened following a six-month refurbishment that introduced a new design and expanded facilities.
The redeveloped hotel now offers 20 individually styled bedrooms, a new bar and restaurant, two private dining rooms, a function suite, a lounge and terrace, and an adjoining public café.
The hotel can accommodate up to 43 guests across its redesigned rooms, including dog-friendly options. Bedrooms feature bold interiors with playful names such as Dappy Doubles and Top Tip Twins. Select rooms include dog beds, treats, and toys.
The new bar and restaurant serve a seasonal menu with Yorkshire influences. Dishes include popcorn monkfish with smoked mango espuma, beer-battered east coast haddock, goats cheese ravioli, and summer pudding brûlée. A Sunday roast is available until 8pm, alongside cocktails and premium spirits.
Private dining options include The Bait Box, a room with a floor-to-ceiling blossom tree installation, and The Harry Room, designed as a sensory-friendly space for guests seeking a quieter environment.
The Stones Café, which adjoins the hotel, is open daily to the public and offers brunch, lunch, smoothies and baked goods using local produce.
Kevin Shanahan, commercial manager of The Wainstones Hotel, said: “Having only started work on the existing hotel in January, it’s an incredible feeling to be welcoming our first guests already.
“We’ve considered every detail to make the hotel truly inclusive – whether you’re cycling across the country, staying with your dog, visiting with family, or in need of a sensory-friendly space.”
