Three beach locations operated by the family-owned H Hotels Collection in Rhodes have been awarded Blue Flag status for 2025 by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).
The beaches at Lardos, Galouni Bay in Kiotari, and Ixia have all met the international benchmark for water quality, sustainable management, safety standards and environmental education.
The Greek hotel group, established more than 30 years ago by the Hatzilazarou family, operates a portfolio of resorts across Rhodes. Many of its properties offer direct access to the three award-winning beaches.
In a statement, the group said the recognition “reinforces H Hotels Collection’s continued commitment to sustainability and excellence in hospitality”.
The company has hosted events across its resorts in July and early August to mark the achievement. These have included appearances by local officials and environmental partners, as part of a broader effort to promote eco-conscious tourism and celebrate Rhodes’ natural heritage.
Each beach site serves a different set of properties within the group’s portfolio.
Ixia Beach, located in the north of the island, is home to the newly opened Amus Hotel and Spa. The adults-only resort features sea views and wellness-led facilities.
Galouni Bay in the south is the location for three of the group’s high-end properties: Mayia Exclusive Resort and Spa, Boutique 5 Hotel and Spa, and Princess Andriana Resort and Spa. Mayia and Boutique 5 cater exclusively to adults, while Princess Andriana also targets families.
Lardos Beach, further east, hosts the group’s longer-established family resorts: Lindos Princess Beach Resort and Spa, Rodos Princess Beach Hotel and Princess Sun Hotel. Princess Sun is set slightly inland above Kiotari, with shuttle access to the coast.
All hotels in the group are involved in environmental initiatives including waste reduction, water conservation and guest education. The Blue Flag awards reflect the group’s stated aim to balance tourism with environmental stewardship.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
