Kimpton Hotels has announced the appointment of Garreth Walsh as its new area general manager for central England.
In his new role, Walsh will continue to lead the Kimpton Fitzroy London while providing management support to the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel and The Manchester Deansgate Hotel.
Walsh has been with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) since October 2019. His previous experience includes a 15-year tenure with The Doyle Collection, where he served as general manager for both The Marylebone Hotel and The Kensington Hotel.
His career in the hospitality sector began with Jurys Doyle Hotel Group, where he held various management positions over seven years.
These roles included deputy general manager at Jurys Inn Islington and assistant rooms division manager at Jurys Ballsbridge and Towers.
In a LinkedIn post, Kimpton Fitzroy London said: “This is a proud moment for our team. Garreth’s leadership, vision, and dedication have had, and will continue to have, a lasting impact at Kimpton Fitzroy London.
