Boutique hotel The Harper has appointed Andrew Oxley as its new general manager, succeeding Jules Keirle who left the property in May.
Former hotel manager at the Relais Henley, Oxley brings extensive experience to the role, including positions as resort general manager at Bicester Hotel and Spa and general manager at Château Rhianfa. Since 2014, he has held the title of Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality and in 2015, he achieved the status of Master Innholder.
The Norfolk hotel was acquired earlier this month by family-run hospitality business, The Morgans Group, adding to its growing expansion. The acquisition was led by Morgans Group director Shon Morgans. Prior to this, the hotel had been owned and operated by Sam Cutmore-Scott since 2021.
Shon Morgans, director of The Morgans Group, said: “We want The Harper to belong to North Norfolk, a destination that gives people yet another reason to take pride in this remarkable corner of England. The landscapes, the community and the dedication to food and hospitality here are quite extraordinary and our focus is firmly on honouring and building upon all of that.”
The property is a conversion of a glassblowing industrial site, designed to be an informal retreat, including 32 guest rooms with larger options for families, restaurant and bar facilities, a spa and indoor pool, leisure spaces and a games room.
