Marriott International has opened its first Aloft hotel in Northern Ireland as part of a dual-development in the Titanic Quarter in Belfast.
The 135-room Aloft by Marriott Belfast Titanic Quarter sits alongside the Residence Inn by Marriott Belfast Titanic Quarter, which features 93 studio and one-bedroom apartments.
The investment is expected to create more than 70 jobs in the region, according to the company. The broader waterfront development attracts more than 3.6 million visitors per year following investment of more than £650m.
The hotel features a bar, restaurant, 24-hour gym and meeting space. It is located two miles from the city centre, near cultural landmarks including Belfast City Hall, Crumlin Road Gaol and Titanic Studios.
Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, international VP for premium, select and midscale brands in Europe at Marriott, said: “Aloft by Marriott Belfast Titanic Quarter is a significant step forward for the brand’s UK presence as it enters Northern Ireland for the first time. This is a perfect location for Aloft by Marriott’s different-by-design experience, and we can’t wait to welcome guests to this dynamic new opening.”
