Luxury country house hotel The Vineyard has announced it will reopen in November following a multi-million pound renovation under new owner Monogram Collective.
The relaunch marks the third in the group’s portfolio, repositioning the hotel as a “countryside retreat” focused on food and wellness. The work will be carried out in two phases, the first in November 2026 and the second in spring 2027.
The first phase will introduce 41 refurbished guestrooms alongside a restaurant, brasserie, bar and terrace, chocolate room, wine shop and tasting room. Four private event spaces will also be unveiled, accommodating up to 50 guests.
The second phase will add a further 18 guestrooms along with a new boutique spa including a steam room, sauna, outdoor spa garden, manicure and pedicure stations and 24-hour gym facilities. It will also introduce a further four event spaces for private dining and meetings, including the Foley Suite, which offers natural daylight, a private terrace and audio-video capabilities.
The hotel’s food and service offering will continue to be led by executive head chef Tom Scade, formerly of the Ritz-Carlton, serving British and European fine dining with a strong seasonal focus. Meanwhile, director of wine and beverage Romain Bourger will continue to oversee the wine cellar, which the owners said would support its position as one of England’s leading food and wine destinations.
The hotel, a member of Pride of Britain Hotels, has been closed since January 2026 to undergo the refurbishment.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
