Cosgrove Leisure Parks UK has acquired Stonham Barns Park in Suffolk for an undisclosed sum from joint administrators at FRP Advisory.
The buyer, which operates residential and holiday sites across London and the South East, acquired the venue after it entered administration in February. Under the new ownership, the name of the Mid-Suffolk holiday, retail and event destination will remain unchanged and the site will continue to trade its existing operations, which include a retail village with more than 40 shops, a showground and the Suffolk Owl Sanctuary.
The new owners plan to modernise accommodation, expand activity programmes and upgrade the retail spaces.
Patrick Cosgrove, managing director of Cosgrove Leisure Parks, said: “We have enjoyed much success growing the Cosgrove Leisure Parks UK business over recent years and we are delighted to confirm that, as new owners of Stonham Barns Park, we are looking to introduce fresh ideas and improvements. The vision is to build on the park’s existing strengths and create even more unforgettable moments for visitors.”
