Irish hotel group The Address Collective is to open its second Glasgow property, Address Wren, on 17 July 2026 above Glasgow Central Station.
The 30-bedroom penthouse hotel occupies the top floor of the Caledonian Chambers building at 87 Union Street. The opening marks the seventh property in the portfolio of the family-owned group, following the launch of The Address Glasgow in 2023.
The hotel’s design draws inspiration from its namesake, the wren. The interiors feature a palette of blush tones in the bedrooms, contrasted with darker paint on the high ceilings. Existing oak timber flooring has been retained to maintain the character of the building.
Every piece of furniture throughout the hotel was custom-designed for the property. Bedrooms feature fully controllable lighting, including concealed warm-white LED lights integrated into headboards and wall panels. Bathrooms feature drench showers and terrazzo-effect tiles.
The reception area includes a bespoke desk finished with a light quartz worktop and a grab-and-go counter. Throughout the guest corridors, a bespoke carpet runner features delicate wren footprints. Design links, including a guest lounge named The Parlour, connect the property to its nearby sister hotel.

This has been a unique and exciting project, transforming the penthouse floor of one of the city’s most recognisable buildings into an intimate, design-led hotel with its own distinctive character.
“The Address Wren complements The Address Glasgow while offering guests a more intimate boutique experience, underpinned by the genuine hospitality for which The Address Collective is known. Glasgow has welcomed us warmly since we opened The Address Glasgow in 2023, and we are delighted to continue investing in the city and contributing to its growing visitor economy.”
