Privately owned luxury hotel group Hand Picked Hotels has appointed two senior executives to its leadership team to support its next phase of growth.
Eugenio Pirri joined the business as chief culture officer on 20 July 2026, while David Spooner will join as chief commercial officer on 7 September 2026. Both executives bring more than 30 years of international leadership experience in the luxury hospitality sector and will be based at the firm’s new central London office.
Pirri previously spent 13 years at Dorchester Collection, serving as chief people and culture officer before becoming joint chief executive. He will lead the group’s internal culture strategy, working alongside outgoing chief people officer Deborah Seymour to ensure a transition of responsibilities before her departure later this year.
Spooner joins the business from Six Senses, where he served as vice president of global brand. His background includes commercial and brand roles at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, One and Only Resorts and Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts. In his new role, he will oversee sales, marketing, revenue management, and digital operations.
