Red Carnation Hotels has unveiled three redesigned suites across its London portfolio as part of a wider investment programme, led by newly appointed design director Claire Haugh.
Haugh will oversee the launch, bringing extensive luxury hospitality design experience, having previously served as head of design at Antfarm and worked on projects including The Fife Arms, Mount St Restaurant and Mount St Rooms in Mayfair.
The company said the interiors are intended to reflect the history of each property while providing personalised guest experiences.
The Family Suite at The Milestone Hotel and Residences in Kensington has been designed to meet the growing demand for family stays, including space for two adults, two children and an infant. The suite also includes a dedicated children’s retreat with bespoke bunk beds and interactive design features. The hotel said the suite is intended to provide family-focused experiences including picnics, afternoon tea and children’s activities.
The Mayfair Suite at The Chesterfield Mayfair is designed to accommodate up to four guests, including adults and children. It offers a split-level layout, a dedicated butler service and bespoke furnishings, artwork and handcrafted interiors.
Haugh said: “For me, every space should have a true sense of place – drawing on the history of each hotel while expressing its own distinct character and responding thoughtfully to the way guests want to live, travel and rest today.
“Great hotel design is about much more than aesthetics; it’s about creating spaces that feel effortless to experience, where every detail has been carefully considered so guests feel cared for without having to think about how the space works. It should balance the pleasure of discovering somewhere extraordinary with the ease and familiarity of feeling completely at home.”
Red Carnation Hotels said the investment reflects its family-owned heritage and long-term commitment to developing its properties, with further renovations planned across London, Guernsey and South Africa over the coming year.
