Shareholders have put two Best Western hotels in Hampshire and Wiltshire up for sale with a combined guide price of £8.5m.
The properties, which are available individually or as a combined portfolio, are being sold following a strategic review by the shareholders.
The 97-bedroom Best Western Chilworth Manor Hotel near Southampton sits within 12.4 acres and includes conference facilities, a leisure club and a 90-cover restaurant. The 50-bedroom Best Western Plus Angel Hotel in Chippenham is a 17th Century coaching inn featuring an 80-cover brasserie and meeting facilities.
Both assets operate under the Best Western brand and are managed by Legacy Hotels and Resorts.
Stephen Broome, director of the hotel-owning companies, said: “These are two well-established hotels with strong individual identities and attractive locations, offering a range of opportunities for investors and operators. Both properties have established trading histories and diversified income streams, while their differing locations and characteristics provide scope for a range of investment strategies.”
James Greenslade, director in hotels agency at Colliers, said: “The decision to offer these hotels individually or together provides flexibility for prospective purchasers and reflects the strength of demand we continue to see for well-located regional hotel assets. Chilworth Manor and the Angel Hotel each offer distinctive propositions, with opportunities to build on their existing operations and further unlock their potential.”
