The Landmark Collection has promoted Sally Beck to deputy managing director of the group and managing director of The Landmark London.
Beck will work alongside managing director Brian Hlandnik in overseeing the Landmark Collection, while bearing responsibility for The Landmark London, the group’s five-star hotel in Marylebone.
The promotion will see Beck move into the role after 13 years as general manager of Royal Lancaster London, where she oversaw an £85m refurbishment, during which time the hotel remained operational. During her tenure, the hotel’s annual turnover increased from £30m in 2013 to more than £60m, according to the Landmark Collection.
The appointment also marks Beck’s return to the Landmark London, where she previously spent more than a decade as director of sales and marketing between 2001 and 2012, where she led the hotel’s global sales and marketing strategy.
During her career, Beck has received numerous accolades including Hotelier of the Year in 2019, a Master Innholder since 2018 and being named general manager of the year at the 2025 BEAM Awards. She is also the founder of The Hoteliers’ Charter, established in 2021 to encourage positive workplace culture within the hospitality industry.
The appointment comes as The Landmark Collection enters a new phase of development following its rebrand from the Lancaster Landmark Hotel Group, with the family-owned business now comprising seven luxury boutique hotels across the UK and Thailand.
Beck said: “I am incredibly proud of everything we have achieved at Royal Lancaster London over the past 13 years, and particularly of the extraordinary team and culture we have built together. It has been a huge part of my life and career, so taking on this new role feels both exciting and very special.
“The Landmark London is also a hotel I know and love, having spent more than a decade there earlier in my career and I am delighted to be returning at such an exciting time. I look forward to working closely with Brian and our teams across The Landmark Collection as we build on the individual strengths of our hotels, continue to invest in our people and service and shape the next chapter for the group.”
