The Vicarage, a Grade II listed coaching inn and hotel in Cheshire, has been sold to hospitality operators Jose Lourenco and Nathan Jordan for an undisclosed sum.
Located on the A50 between Knutsford and Holmes Chapel, The Vicarage comprises 23 en suite letting bedrooms and a detached two-storey Mill House. The property also includes outdoor seating and parking for up to 40 cars across its approximately 1.07-acre site
The hotel is situated within reach of Manchester and Chester, as well as nearby towns and villages across Cheshire. The sale was handled by Keith Stringer, director and Tom O’Malley, associate director at Christie and Co. Lourenco and Jordan already own and operate The Plough Inn in Eaton, around 10 minutes from The Vicarage, which they have run for 11 years.
The new owners have begun refurbishing the property, which will close for six weeks while the works are carried out.
Jose Lourenco and Nathan Jordan said: “We may be new to The Vicarage, but this isn’t our first rodeo. For the past 11 years, we have been the extremely proud owners of The Plough Inn, Eaton, just 10 minutes down the road from The Vicarage.
“After 11 years of running The Plough, we’re bringing our experience, passion and love of hospitality to The Vicarage and we couldn’t be more excited about what’s to come! The Vicarage will be closed for the next six weeks while we give the venue an exciting refurbishment.”
Keith Stringer and Tom O’Malley of Christie and Co said: “Given both Jose and Nathan already own and operate the highly successful Plough in Eaton, we believe the Vicarage will be an exciting addition to their portfolio.”
