Aimbridge Hospitality records strong H1 as revenue jumps 4.8%

Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA has reported a 4.7% increase in total revenue and 4.8% year-on-year increase in revenue per available room (RevPAR) in the first half of 2026, exceeding market benchmarks.

Aimbridge said that alongside this, it has prioritised maintaining room rates over increasing occupancy this year, while its energy purchasing strategy has helped mitigate the impact of rising costs and market variability.

The company also reported a 0.7 percentage point improvement in payroll costs as a share of revenue compared with the previous year, supported by the stronger revenue performance and improved labour management controls, as well as the rollout of new scheduling software.

Daniel Kemp, vice president of hotel finance, said: “It’s no secret that our industry is having to navigate a lot of challenges at the moment and we’re not exempt from that. In terms of socioeconomic pressures, it’s certainly not been an easy first half of the year.

“However, our sales strategy, focusing on growing our corporate group travel base, along with other proactive measures we have in place such as pre-buying energy for our properties years in advance, has allowed us to protect our owners from a lot of the headwinds hotels are facing.”

Will Bishop, vice president commercial, said: “Agility is vital at the moment. The world is a very uncertain place and it only takes one news story or political move to shift people’s feelings about travel or to impact on the running costs of a hotel overnight.

“This of course has a massive impact on the industry, so it’s crucial we have our fingers on the pulse of trends and insights through our global Aimbridge Hospitality network, so we can inform owners and adapt our approach using real-world data and intelligence.”

He added: “This year, that’s meant holding strong on maintaining rate rather than chasing occupancy, alongside other initiatives such as ensuring greater contact with our teams on the ground so we’re able to react to any changes and trends we’re seeing.

“Our half-year results prove testimony to this and demonstrate our team’s expertise and the power of data-led insights. We’ll be continuing to build on this to ensure resilience and strong results for our hotels in the months to come.”

The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
