French luxury hotel group, Airelles, has officially opened its ninth property and first international location in Venice, following the restoration of three 16th Century buildings .
The development – named Airellles Palladio – on Giudecca island features 45 rooms, including 28 suites, and includes the restored Santa Maria della Presentazione Church and one hectare of Mediterranean gardens.
Facilities at the property include four swimming pools, a 1,700-square-metre Guerlain Spa and a kids club. The hotel also features a hair spa by Rossano Ferretti.
The culinary offering consists of five outlets. These include Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s abc kitchens Palladio and a restaurant by Nobu Matsuhisa.
Villa Frollo houses a dining concept by Norbert Niederkofler, while pastry chef Cedric Grolet provides desserts. A music venue, Elton’s Club, will open in September 2026.
Architect Christophe Tollemer directed the restoration of the three buildings. The design incorporates terrazzo floors, Murano glass and Rubelli wall-coverings.
Anne-Laure Ollagnon, chief executive of Airelles, said: “We are privileged to introduce our first property outside of France with the opening of Airelles Palladio. Venice has its own poetry, shaped by water and centuries of history.
“With Airelles Palladio, we wanted to give Venice a starring role, letting its colours, materials, and spirit guide us. We interpreted the essence of Venice through Airelles’ signature hospitality, blending French elegance and Italian refinement.”
