Cairn Hotel Group has been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026.
The Newcastle-headquartered company featured in the big organisation category, placing it among the top 126 large employers in the UK. The awards are run in partnership with employee experience platform WorkL to track workplace culture and staff wellbeing.
The recognition comes despite ongoing recruitment and retention challenges across the hospitality sector. The group recently launched Cairn Concierge, a digital platform designed to improve staff access to benefits, support services, and internal communications.
Internal survey data showed that 83% of staff feel safe in their working environment, while nearly eight in 10 employees reported feeling empowered at work and satisfied in their roles.
