Harbour hotels expands Bristol footprint with acquisition of Brooks Guesthouse

UK luxury hospitality group Harbour Hotels has acquired Brooks Guesthouse Bristol in order to expand its presence in the city, with the property set to undergo an extensive refurbishment before being integrated into Harbour Hotel Bristol.

Located beside St Nicholas Markets and close to Harbour Hotel Bristol, the independent guesthouse will continue to operate under the Brooks Guesthouse name while the refurbishment takes place, which is scheduled to be completed in February 2027.

The project will include the addition of three new guestrooms, alongside a redesign of all accommodation and the courtyard. The guesthouse currently offers 27 rooms, including four “retro rocket” caravans, which will remain part of the guest experience following the refurbishment.

Once the works are complete, guestrooms within the house will become integrated into Harbour Hotel Bristol, taking the hotel’s total room offering up to 72 rooms across the neighbouring sites. The expansion will also provide guests access to Harbour Hotel’s existing spa, restaurant and leisure facilities.

The properties are located in Bristol’s Old Quarter, close to independent restaurants, cafes, galleries and cultural attractions.

The expansion reflects Harbour Hotels’ continued focus on city and coastal destinations, with Bristol remaining a leisure and cultural hub within the UK market.

Mike Warren, chief executive of Harbour Hotels, said: “It’s never straightforward to extend your footprint in city centre locations and we closely followed this opportunity to bolt on 30 keys to our existing city asset. In terms of Harbour Hotel Bristol’s future performance, it’s a game changer.”

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
