Hyatt Hotels Stratford reopens Elondi Terrace after five-figure revamp

Hyatt Hotels Stratford has reopened its Elondi Terrace following a five-figure refurbishment aimed at boosting its outdoor hospitality and events capacity.

Located on the third floor and connected to the Elondi Bar and Restaurant, the refreshed 153sq metre space accommodates up to 50 seated guests or 100 standing. The redesign includes new furnishings, improved lighting and updated layouts to support all-day dining, casual drinks and private functions.

The updated menu emphasises small plates and sharing boards, featuring dishes such as chicken tikka bites, calamari, lemon prawns, and halloumi fingers. The drinks selection includes signature cocktails, spritzes, and non-alcoholic options, alongside a dedicated £50 per person summer events package, according to the hotel.

The venue is positioned to host receptions, networking sessions, and corporate gatherings, backed by Hyatt’s event management team. To ensure year-round operation, the hotel plans to install protective shutters ahead of the winter season.

Last month, Hyatt Hotels reported that RevPAR rose 5.9% in the second quarter of 2026 compared with the same period last year, driven by strong growth across its luxury and upper scale properties.

Meanwhile, income attributable to the Chicago-based hospitality group reached $110m (£84m) for the quarter ending 30 June 2026, while gross fee income grew 7.8% to $324m (£240.9m).

News Analysis

The reason Hyatt is refurbishing such a young terrace lies in how it assembled the Stratford operation. Its January 2022 management agreement with M&L Hospitality already made a restaurant, bar and terrace part of the business and leisure offer. Hyatt then opened both Stratford hotels in April 2022, placing Elondi beneath two brands with different stay patterns. The space began as shared infrastructure, so each alteration can change the proposition across the adjoining Regency and House hotels.

That shared model expanded into a more deliberate events business. In May 2023, Hyatt added a skyline meeting floor, with an open-air terrace among the flexible work and function spaces, while naming Elondi as another area available for private hire. The sequence reveals Hyatt’s operating method in Stratford: it recuts communal space around different reasons to visit, allowing the combined complex to sell overnight stays, local food and drink, and organised gatherings.

Elondi then received its own commercial reset in June 2023. Hyatt relaunched the terrace with Gusbourne, using the English vineyard’s still and sparkling wines to give the space an identity separate from the main bar. That partnership provides the useful comparison for today’s refit: Hyatt previously relied on a named supplier and recurring entertainment to draw a leisure crowd, and the hotel programmed live music there every Friday.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
