Marbella hospitality brand Sala Group has partnered with hotel operator 1912 Hotels to open its first UK venue in Sheffield this autumn.
The new site, La Sala Sheffield, will open inside the voco Sheffield by IHG property overlooking the city’s Peace Gardens and Winter Garden.
The launch forms the first stage of a national rollout between Sala Group and 1912 Hotels, which aims to introduce standalone food, drink, and entertainment venues across a growing UK hotel portfolio.
Sala Group’s investor base includes former professional football players David Bentley, Michael Brown, Paul Robinson, and Stephen Carr, alongside current players Bobby Clark of Derby County and Alex Scott of AFC Bournemouth.
The Sheffield venue will operate across daytime and evening trade, featuring a regular programme of live music and DJs from Thursday through to Sunday.
1912 Hotels director Katharina Hohn said: “Our partnership with Sala Group is about rethinking what hotel food and beverage can be. We want our hotels to contain venues that have their own identity, energy and audience – destinations that local people actively choose to visit as well as places our hotel guests can enjoy.
“La Sala Sheffield is the first opportunity to bring that shared vision to life through our UK hotel partnership, and we are extremely excited about what we can build together.”
