McKeever Hotels has appointed Stephen McNally, a former deputy chief executive of Dalata Hotel Group, to its board.
McNally joins the family-owned group, which is headquartered in Antrim and operates hotels across Northern Ireland and Donegal. He previously held senior leadership positions with Dalata Hotel Group, Jury’s Doyle Hotel Group and Ramada Hotel Group.
McNally was a founding director of Dalata and its deputy chief executive from 2007 to 2022. The group now operates 57 hotels under its Clayton and Maldron brands. Before joining Dalata, McNally worked for Jury’s Doyle Hotel Group, where he later became group general manager.
Earlier in his career, he spent more than six years with the Ramada Hotel Group across Germany and the UK after completing its management training programme. Following his departure from Dalata in 2022, McNally founded SERLs Hospitality, where he serves as chief executive and provides consultancy, advisory and hotel management services to clients across Ireland and the UK.
He is also a non-executive director of Tourism Ireland and chairs the Tourism Partnership Board on behalf of Northern Ireland’s minister for the Economy. McNally previously served as president of the Irish Hotels Federation from 2014 to 2016.
McNally said: “I’ve been embedded in the sector for over 40 years, so I understand its value and appreciate how it has contributed so positively to Ireland’s economic growth. I now look forward to bringing this experience to McKeever Hotels and the wider sector in Northern Ireland.
