Radisson Hotel Group has officially taken over Salzburg’s largest conference hotel and rebranded it under the Radisson Blu name, as Austria’s meetings and events sector is experiencing record growth.
The Radisson Blu Hotel and Conference Centre, Salzburg features 262 rooms and 1,785 square metres of event space. This includes a 960-square-metre ballroom that accommodates up to 1,000 guests.
Located 300 metres from the city’s main railway station, the property connects to direct rail services to Vienna, Munich and Zurich. Salzburg Airport is five kilometres away, and the historic Old Town is a 20-minute walk from the venue.
The site includes 16 event spaces equipped with climate control and audiovisual technology. Its main venue, the Salzburg Hall, can be divided into two sections of 540 and 420 square metres to host corporate events, galas and congresses.
Meeting packages run through the Radisson Meetings scheme and provide carbon offsetting at no extra cost. The venue also holds three environmental accolades: the Austrian Green Meeting label, the EU Ecolabel and the Austrian Ecolabel.
Guest accommodation spans seven categories between 24 and 78 square metres. Facilities include an indoor pool, a Finnish sauna, a fitness room and an on-site restaurant named Baroque, which serves regional cuisine.
