Silverlake launches outdoor spa and restaurant in Dorset

Holiday home operator Habitat First Group will launch an outdoor spa and restaurant at its Silverlake estate in Dorset on 1 August 2026.

The Firefly Spa and Restaurant site will feature a 25-metre heated outdoor pool, a sauna, a cold plunge, and dedicated wild swimming zones.

The development represents the largest investment of the company to date as it targets the UK wellness tourism market.

The destination features a partnership with skincare brand Espa to deliver specialised treatments alongside lakeside dining at the Firefly restaurant.

The venue will open a second phase of the development in 2027, which will add a gym to the health facilities.

The project sits within a nature reserve that holds a Building with Nature Gold accreditation. The company will open the facilities to holiday guests, property owners, and local residents.

Chief executive Red Paxton said: “Demand for wellness experiences that feel genuinely restorative and connected to nature continues to grow, particularly as more travellers seek slower, outdoor-led escapes closer to home.

“Firefly Spa represents our largest investment across Habitat First Group to date and marks an important milestone in the estate’s long-term evolution. We wanted to create something that feels entirely different from a traditional spa experience – somewhere guests move between lake water, heat, cold therapy and open skies, leaving guests feeling both invigorated and deeply restored.”

Abi Selby, spa strategist, added: “We wanted to create something that feels genuinely different from a traditional spa experience; somewhere that embraces the wild beauty of the landscape while still delivering comfort, calm and a sense of escape.

“The Firefly Spa’s unique lakeside setting allows guests to feel immersed in nature, surrounded by water, open skies and ever-changing views. By blurring the boundary between inside and outside, we’ve created a space where guests can slow down, reconnect with the environment and experience the restorative power of the landscape.”

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
