Lifestyle hotel The Standard London has appointed Sophie Bratt as head of bars, assuming responsibility for the bar programmes across the hotel’s food and beverage outlets.
Bratt joins the hotel after more than a decade holding positions across London venues such as The Roof Gardens, Sexy Fish, Harvey Nichols, OXO Tower and Nobu.
In her new role, Bratt will be responsible for the overall creative direction of The Standard’s bar offering, managing all bars within its portfolio.
The hotel’s portfolio includes Sweeties, a cocktail bar located on the ground floor, while Double Standard operates as a bar and restaurant. Decimo, located on the hotel’s 10th floor, offers a Mexican and Spanish-inspired menu, while Isla focuses on all-day dining and drinks.
Bratt has been recognised for her role in the sector when she was named Bar Manager of the Year at the Class Bar Awards in 2024. She is also co-founder of Community Spirit, an industry-led non-profit which has raised funds for charities including Hospitality Action, A Good Night Out Campaign and Under One Sky.
The announcement marks the second significant appointment within the hotel following the arrival of Murray Scott as general manager earlier this year.
