Irish hotel group The Address Collective has announced the upcoming opening of its second Glasgow property next month.
The Address Wren will be a 30-bedroom penthouse hotel located on the top floor of the Caledonian Chambers building at 87 Union Street, situated above Glasgow Central Station.
The launch, which will mark the seventh hotel for the family-owned company, follows the opening of its first Glasgow site in 2023.
The hotel occupies a position overlooking the station’s glass roof and is accessed via a dedicated lift leading directly to the penthouse level. Caledonian Chambers is a Category B-listed Edwardian commercial building, constructed in the early 20th Century.
A refurbishment programme restored the historic building while installing modern interiors. The company confirmed the property sustained no damage during a fire earlier this year.
The hotel features 30 bedrooms and a central guest lounge named The Parlour, designed for both leisure and business travellers. The addition expands the company’s existing portfolio, which includes hotels across Dublin, Cork, Sligo and Glasgow. The group is also developing The Address Capel Street in Dublin, which will open later this year.
Brian McGettigan, company director at The Address Collective, said: “The opening of The Address Wren marks another exciting milestone for The Address Collective as we continue to grow our presence in Glasgow and across the UK and Ireland.
“Glasgow has been an incredibly important city for us since opening The Address Glasgow, and with The Address Wren, we wanted to create something more intimate and design-focused while celebrating the heritage and character of this iconic building above Central Station.”
He added: “We’re looking forward to welcoming guests and introducing another unique hospitality experience to the city.”

Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
