Oxford Belfry Hotel & Spa appoints new GM

Oxford Belfry Hotel and Spa has appointed Jade Dixon as its new general manager.

Dixon has previously worked with the QHotels Collection, and brings a “wealth of experience and passion for team culture, guest experience, and operational transformation”.

She first joined The QHotels Collection in 2015 at Nottingham Belfry Hotel and Spa, and since then she’s taken on a range of key leadership roles across the portfolio.

Most recently, she led Cambridge Belfry Hotel and Spa to significant commercial and cultural success during her two-year tenure as general manager.

Following this success, The QHotels Collection approached Dixon with the opportunity to bring her “vision, energy, and leadership” to Oxford Belfry Hotel and Spa, where she began her new role earlier this spring.

The group said she has already made an impact by bringing in a new operations manager and driving improvements that have led to early commercial uplift.

Located just outside Oxford within a mile of the M40, and set within eight acres of gardens, Oxford Belfry Hotel and Spa caters to both corporate and leisure guests.

With conference capacity for up to 450 delegates, a spa, and proximity to local attractions including Blenheim Palace and the Cotswolds, the hotel is ideally placed for both business and relaxation.

Originally built in the style of a medieval cloister, it served as a country home for the French ambassador in the early 20th Century. In the 1940s, it was converted into the Brimpton Grange Hotel, with a notable period under the ownership of the Withey family.

Recent investments in the property mean refreshing public areas, meeting rooms, and ballroom suites. These upgrades include interior enhancements, AV technology, new fittings and furnishings.

Dixon is also evolving the hotel’s spa offering and positioning the resort as a wellness destination.

She said: “We want Oxford Belfry Hotel and Spa to be the leading conference and leisure destination in the region. That means refining the guest journey, investing in our facilities, and aligning our offering with what today’s guests are really looking for, whether that’s a seamless business stay, a restorative spa break, or a memorable event.

“The QHotels Collection has always been about people. I feel both supported, challenged, and given space to grow within the company. I’m proud to have spent most of my career here, and I’m excited to now bring that ethos to Oxford Belfry.”

The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
