Hilton has announced it is set to open The Derby London City, part of the Curio Collection, in London’s financial district in February 2026.
The Derby London City is owned and operated by Dominus. The 234-room property, including 15 suites with panoramic views of the City skyline, is designed to “combine British heritage with contemporary style”. It will occupy a reimagined landmark on Great Tower Street, close to the Tower of London and St Paul’s Cathedral.
Dominus said the development pays tribute to the area’s banking history, with interiors created in collaboration with design studio AvroKO. Features include The Treasury Wall, a bespoke installation referencing the district’s financial past, and a daily “Golden Hour” ritual at 5:10pm – a nod to the hotel’s address at 5–10 Great Tower Street.
The centre of the hotel will feature Rycrofte’s, a restaurant inspired by Sir John Rycrofte, Sergeant of the Larder to Henry VII and Henry VIII. Overlooking St Dunstan in the East Church Garden, it will serve modern British dishes using seasonal ingredients.
Guests will also have access to private dining and meeting rooms for up to 20 delegates, a 24-hour gym, and monthly events under the Mercer’s Market programme, celebrating local artists and artisans.
