HotelREZ has announced the appointment of Gary Torres as its new vice president of platform strategy to manage its global partner ecosystem.
Torres will oversee the development of REZswitch, the company’s two-way application programming interface connecting property management and central reservation systems. He will work alongside the product team to manage connectivity standards and data standards.
The new vice president has more than 20 years of experience in product design and development within the travel and hospitality technology sectors. Torres previously held senior roles at Pegasus Solutions and Duetto.
His appointment is the fourth addition to the leadership team since December, following the arrivals of chief growth officer John Seaton, customer success and engagement vice president Hadley O’Dwyer, and the Americas senior vice president Frank Fuentes.
Torres said: “I’m delighted to be joining HotelREZ at such an important stage of its evolution. The focus on building a strong, future-ready platform is compelling, and I look forward to advancing our connectivity infrastructure and supporting the continued growth of REZswitch as we expand globally.”
