The Feversham Arms Hotel and Verbena Spa in York is to undergo an extensive renovation of its 33 bedrooms and facilities following its acquisition by Rockliffe Hall.
The project follows the acquisition of the hotel by Rockliffe Hall in August 2025 as part of a regional expansion strategy.
Rockliffe Hall is also undergoing a transformation to include several restaurants, a 50,000 sq ft spa and an 18-hole golf course, alongside The Pheasant Hotel in nearby Harome.
The renovation includes a full redesign of the guest rooms, suites and spa, alongside a new dining concept.
The property will close on 1 September 2026 for the duration of the works, with a reopening scheduled for early 2028.
Shauna Robb, group chief operating officer at Rockliffe Hall, said: “The Feversham Arms Hotel and Verbena Spa has a history of welcoming guests to relax, indulge and experience Yorkshire hospitality in a well-considered boutique retreat.
“This project offers an exciting opportunity to continue to offer all these elements while raising the standard of the decor and facilities.”
