The Shepherd Mayfair will open its doors on 1 September 2026, offering a new boutique destination in the heart of Shepherd Market.
The six-floor hotel occupies the site of Mayfair’s oldest house, known as “The Cottage”, which dates back to the 17th Century. Designed by Timothy Shepherd, of Shepherd and Co, the 82-room property is conceived as a contemporary interpretation of the historic mansions in the local area.
The venue features three food and beverage spaces designed to integrate into the daily rhythm of the neighbourhood. These include Fayre, a 62-cover seasonal restaurant, the Lounge, a 46-cover cafe with an outdoor terrace, and Teddy’s, a late-night cocktail bar on the lower ground floor.
Timothy Shepherd, of Shepherd and Co, said: “The hotel is rooted in the character of Shepherd Market, offering a neighbourhood-led alternative to the grand hotels traditionally associated with Mayfair.”
