Hyatt Hotels has reported that RevPAR rose 5.9% in the second quarter of 2026 compared with the same period last year, driven by strong growth across its luxury and upper scale properties.
Net income attributable to the Chicago-based hospitality group reached $110m (£84m) for the quarter ending 30 June 2026, while gross fee income grew 7.8% to $324m (£240.9m).
Growth in leisure and group bookings helped offset regional headwinds, according to Hyatt, including conflict in the Middle East which reduced system-wide RevPAR growth by approximately 110 basis points.
However, performance at all-inclusive resorts dropped slightly, with package RevPAR down 1.2% due to security concerns in Mexico and reduced flight capacity to key destinations.
Base management fees rose 10.2%, supported by robust performance in the United States, though overall fee growth faced disruption from hotel closures in Jamaica caused by Hurricane Melissa.
Hyatt added 3,585 rooms to its system during the quarter, including the opening of Miraval The Red Sea – its first Miraval site outside the US – and expanded its pipeline of executed contracts to 154,000 rooms.
Mark Hoplamazian, chief executive of Hyatt, said: “Our strong second quarter results reflect the continued strength of Hyatt’s differentiated portfolio. The resilience of our core fee business enabled us to absorb temporary regional headwinds while maintaining our full-year outlook.
“Although we are taking a measured view on the timing of openings later this year, continued signing momentum and a high-quality development pipeline reinforce our confidence in Hyatt’s long-term growth model and value creation strategy.”

The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
