Nick Lawson has been named resort general manager of Forest Pines in Lincolnshire, joining the property following an eight-month career break.
Lawson has spent 30 years in the sector, including senior roles at Woodbury Park Hotel and Golf Club, Penventon Park Hotel and Radisson Hotels.
Lawson, announcing the move on LinkedIn, said: “My career break is coming to an end. This autumn I am delighted to be joining Forest Pines and The QHotels Collection as resort general manager, and I look forward to working with Jan Willem Lensen, Shaune Ayers and the wider team at QHotels.
“Over these months I have visited some remarkable places, met genuinely inspiring people and learned a great deal about culture, standards and what makes the very best resorts work. All of it will shape how I lead at Forest Pines.”
He added: “What excites me most is that this is not only about the day to day. Forest Pines has a number of projects in the pipeline, and I am thrilled to be taking the lead on bringing them to fruition over the coming year and beyond. Building something lasting, with a talented team, at a resort with real ambition, is exactly what I was looking for.”
Owned by the QHotels Collection, Forest Pines is a four-star resort in Lincolnshire. The property includes 188 guestrooms, a 27-hole championship golf course, a full-service spa, an indoor pool and multiple dining rooms.
Lawson will work with the wider QHotels team to lead the next phase of growth for the resort.
