Hilton London Metropole is undertaking a £multi-million refurbishment of its West Wing, creating 363 guest rooms designed to meet growing demand for family travel to the capital.
Work is being carried out on a floor-by-floor basis, with the full wing expected to reopen in November 2026. The centrepiece of the new offering will be the Four Queen Bed Family Connecting Room, which combines two adjoining dual-queen rooms to accommodate up to eight guests.
Five of the eight-person configurations will be available, with Hilton London Metropole positioning the offering as one of the most substantial family room products in Central London.
The wider room mix will include dual queen superior rooms accommodating up to four guests, dual queen superior rooms with sofa beds for up to five guests, king superior rooms, accessible queen rooms, a king studio suite and a three-bedroom penthouse suite.
The redesigned rooms are intended to cater to a range of customer groups, including multi-generational families, international family groups, business travellers, leisure guests and those staying for longer periods.
The hotel, located on Edgware Road, is near Paddington Station, providing a 15-minute link to London Heathrow via the Elizabeth line.
Kelly Shrives-Wrist, general manager, Hilton London Metropole, said: “Family travel continues to be an important growth segment for London, yet purpose-designed accommodation for larger family groups remains relatively limited across the capital.
“The West Wing refurbishment allows us to address that demand with a product that combines scale, flexibility and location. From dual-queen rooms through to our new connecting configurations sleeping up to eight guests, we’re creating accommodation that better reflects the way families travel today.”

The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
