Regis Maybourne (UK) Ltd has become the sole owner of the Maybourne hotel group following a restructuring agreement with Constellation Hotels Holding Limited.
Under the agreement, Regis Maybourne becomes the sole owner of Maybourne, the hospitality company behind a portfolio of internationally recognised luxury hotels. It will continue to own Claridge’s in London, The Maybourne Riviera in the South of France and The Maybourne Beverly Hills in California.
Constellation Hotels will retain ownership of The Connaught, The Emory and The Berkeley in London, alongside the upcoming Saint Germain hotel in Paris and a development in Marrakech.
The ownership of the underlying hotel assets remains unchanged, while existing management arrangements will stay in place, with Maybourne continuing to manage the Constellation-owned hotels for an agreed period. The companies said the new framework will allow them to continue investing in their respective hotel portfolios while maintaining the heritage, service standards and guest experience associated with the properties.
Marc Socker will continue as chief executive of Maybourne. Gianluca Muzzi, who previously served as co-chief executive of Maybourne, will return to lead Constellation Hotels, with further operational appointments expected to be announced.
Socker said: “For many years under dual ownership, Maybourne has operated a remarkable portfolio of hotels; properties that set the standard for ultra-luxury hospitality around the world. Although we are no longer co-owners, we remain partners and I want to be clear to our staff, guests, suppliers and industry colleagues that nothing changes in how these hotels are run or experienced, nor in Maybourne’s commitment to excellence.”
