Minor Hotels reports sharp rise in Middle East bookings

Minor Hotels has reported a sharp rise in Middle East bookings during late June, as travel confidence returns across key international and regional markets.

The hospitality group, which operates 26 properties across the region, recorded a 143% increase in room-night bookings in the final full week of June compared with previous weeks. The majority of the new volume is scheduled for arrival during the third quarter of 2026.

Wholesale demand from international markets, including the UK, Germany and Russia, rose 575% during the same period.

Forward-looking pricing from Minor Hotels also showed resilience, with the ADR for the third quarter pacing 17.1% ahead of the same period last year.

Domestic demand and travel within the Gulf Cooperation Council area contributed to record revenues during the Eid Al Adha holiday. As a result, room revenues increased by 23% compared with the same holiday period in 2025.

Minor Hotels is currently expanding its pipeline in the Middle East, including the recent signing of the Sharjah Collection in the UAE, which will add seven properties to its portfolio.

Amir Golbarg, regional COO for the Middle East and Africa at Minor Hotels, said: “Our confidence in the Middle East has never wavered. Travellers are eager to resume both business and leisure travel across the region, and we’re seeing strong momentum heading into Q3 2026. What’s particularly encouraging is that this demand is returning while we continue to maintain pricing discipline and focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.

“At the same time, we continue to invest in the region’s long-term future through new hotel signings, market entries and the expansion of our brand portfolio, reflecting our confidence in the strength and resilience of Middle East tourism.”

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
