Threadneedles hotel has launched a new culinary partnership with British brasserie The Mercer, which has relocated to the City of London property’s historic banking hall.
The YTL Hotels property has relocated the 18-year-old restaurant to its former banking hall, which dates back to 1856.
The Mercer’s menu, which focuses on traditional British fare, includes Dorset crab on toast, dry-aged Hereford beef and shepherd’s pie. The venue will also manage private dining and corporate event catering for the boutique hotel.
The brasserie joins the venue’s existing food and drink facilities, which include a bar built into a former banking counter and afternoon tea served under the hotel’s stained-glass dome.
