Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has signed 25 hotels and opened 13 properties across Europe, the Middle East, Eurasia and Africa in the first half of 2026.
The expansion brings the operator’s regional portfolio to more than 750 hotels comprising over 99,000 rooms. Growth was concentrated in Türkiye, India and Central Asia.
Türkiye remained the group’s most active development market in the region, accounting for the majority of openings. New properties included TRYP by Wyndham Istanbul Maltepe and Ramada Encore by Wyndham Midyat.
In Southern Europe and the CIS, the company opened properties including Wyndham Grand Carvoeiro Algarve in Portugal and Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Tashkent in Uzbekistan. It also signed 11 new hotel agreements in India.
In the Middle East, five new projects were signed across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, including a development agreement with Grovy Developers for branded residences at Dubai Islands.
Dimitris Manikis, president of EMEA at Wyndham, said: “EMEA remains one of the most dynamic regions in global hospitality. What we’re seeing today is growth coming from a broader range of markets and segments than ever before, from established destinations such as Türkiye to fast-growing markets across India and Central Asia.
“The momentum we’ve seen in the first half of the year reflects the strength of those underlying market fundamentals. It also reinforces our belief that some of the most exciting growth opportunities in hospitality over the coming years will come from markets that, until recently, were considered outside the traditional development spotlight.”
