StudioStays has acquired the 77-bedroom Langham Hotel in Eastbourne, Sussex, off a freehold guide price of £3.7m.
The sale of the 113-year-old promenade hotel comes as former owners Neil and Wendy Kirby retire after operating the business for 21 years. The transaction completed for an undisclosed sum.
Located on Royal Parade Promenade, the property includes a restaurant catering for up to 120 guests, an extensive bar and several boardroom-style breakout suites. It also features a 55-cover external sun terrace and an additional terrace seating 60 covers.
The Kirbys said: “We bought the hotel 21 years ago and have enjoyed working in this beautiful seaside location. The business has brought us significant repeat patronage from both private and group business throughout our tenure.
“We have decided to retire and to hand over the successful business to a new owner to take to the next level. We are deeply grateful to our dedicated staff, past and present, for their unwavering support throughout the years.”
