RBH expands London footprint with first Hyatt contract

RBH Hospitality Management has secured a contract to run its first Hyatt-branded property after being selected by real estate firm Sun Venture to operate the Hyatt Place London City East.

The 276-room hotel, located near Brick Lane and Spitalfields Market, features two meeting spaces alongside the Sotto Cucina and Bar and PocketSquare Skyline Bar and Terrace. The appointment marks the first partnership between RBH Hospitality Management and Hyatt Hotels.

The deal also makes RBH the first third-party hotel operator in the UK to manage properties across eight major global hotel brands, adding Hyatt to an existing portfolio that includes IHG Hotels and Resorts, Marriott International, Hilton, Accor, Wyndham, Radisson and Best Western.

Hyatt Place London City East becomes RBH’s 12th managed property in the capital. The contract follows a competitive tender process run by Sun Venture, which selected RBH to manage the hotel following its acquisition of the site.

David Hart, RBH Hospitality Management chief executive, said: “This signing further underlines the momentum we are building as a business this year. London is a market we know well. RBH has operated over 8,000 rooms in the city over the last 25 years and London continues to be a competitive and resilient travel destination.

“Strong partnerships have played an important role in our growth story, and we’re delighted to be working alongside new partners Sun Venture and Hyatt Hotels on this property. To be the first management company to operate hotels across all the major brands reflects our reputation and the confidence that owners and brand partners continue to place in us.”

Kok Eng Lim, Sun Venture head of real estate, added: “We are delighted to welcome RBH Hospitality Management as our operating partner for Hyatt Place London City East. RBH emerged as our choice following a careful operator selection process. Their established track record in London and experience across the major global brands gave us confidence in this appointment. We look forward to a successful and long-term partnership with RBH.”

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for ‘lorem ipsum’ will uncover many web sites still in their infancy.
